ASTI Career’s Initiative is a new programme to help young people chart their own career goals earlier in their education journey which can build – Adaptability, Passion and Diligence which are important qualities needed for future generations to find their purpose in a fast changing and uncertain world.
ASTI is proud to launch a series of short videos called “My Journey” under the ASTI Career Initiative program. “My Journey” charts the amazing careers of extraordinary people who share their stories and experiences on their career paths.
1st Release: Youngest Member of Parliament: Right Honourable Anna Lührmann
Right Honourable Anna Lührmann who shares her personal journey from being the youngest Member of Parliament, to now championing her passion in Climate Change Mitigation. Anna Lührmann is a German political science professor and politician of Alliance 90/The Greens, member of the German Bundestag (German Parliament). She is also the Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office in the government of Chancellor Olaf Scholz since December 8, 2021. Lührmann became the youngest-ever member of the German Parliament in 2002, making her the youngest member of parliament in the world. As an academic, she later served as the Deputy Director of the Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) Institute and as Assistant Professor at the University of Gothenburg.
